From The Desk of  the Priest-In-Charge
Paul was content (Paul's Epistle the Philippians 4:12-13) because he could see life from God's point of view. He focused on what he was supposed to do, not what he felt he should have. Paul had his priorities straight, and he was grateful for everything God had given him. Paul had detached himself from the nonessential so that he could concentrate on the eternal.

How many of us can say we are following Paul's example? It's hard...right? So often, though, the desire for more or better possessions is really a longing to fill an empty place in a person's life. To what are you drawn when you feel empty inside? How can you find true contentment? The answer, my friends, lies in your perspective, your priorities, and your source of power.

Blessings
Rev. Tracy

ITEM OF INTEREST
Church Chuckle
A mother gives her son two quarters when she signs him in at the Children's Ministry room at church. One is for the collection plate, and one is for a doughnut after the service. after the service. He is playing with the two quarters during the lesson, and one drops out of his hand and rolls out of reach under the large stage. "Oh, rats," thinks the little boy. "There goes God's quarter."

THE BOOK CORNER
What I Know For Sure
by Oprah Winfrey

This book touched my heart. Her words are inspirational. Her stories are meaningful. Throughout the book, I felt she was speaking to me. It was if she knew exactly what I needed to hear, as I continue my personal life journey. Thank you. Meeting Oprah Winfrey is now on my bucket list.
