This novella was published in 1955, at the height of the cold war between the United States and the Soviet Union. Two beautiful dead celestial beings, angels with wings, are discovered in each country. Could they have fallen from the sky as a result of thermonuclear testing? Neither country can answer this question but both decide to keep the matter secret. The ending is surprising and uplifting.
