Annual Meeting
The Annual Meeting was held on Sunday, February 13, 2011. It followed the only service on the 13th, which began at 9:30 a.m. We extend our congratulations to the three parishioners who were elected to the Vestry. They are Veronica Airy-Wilson, Evelyn Green and Terrie Thomas. We thank Arlette Hurdle, Clarence Tuning and Lloyd Wimbish for the dedication and contributions they made to the Vestry.

Food Pantry
We always need non-perishable food to provide healthy meals for the families who come to our Food Pantry. Please bring the suggested food items every Sunday for the pantry:
1. February 20th - pasta, tomato sauce and spaghettios
2. February 27th - canned fruit
3. March 6th - canned vegetables
4. March 13th - peanut butter and jelly
5. March 20th - tuna and beef stew
6. March 27th - macaroni and cheese

Upcoming Events
1. Sunday, February 13, 2011. The New Haven chapter of the Union of Black Episcopalians and St. Andrew's Episcopal Church will host A Celebration For The Life And Witness Of The Reverend Absalom Jones. The Right Reverend Ian T. Douglas will be the Homilist and Celebrant. The event will begin at 4:00 p.m. St. Andrew's is located at 262 Shelton Avenue, New Haven.

2. Sunday, February 20, 2011. Young People's Fellowship will host a Black History celebration and dinner. Tickets are $10.00 per person or $35.00 for a family of four. Please see any Y.P.F. member for tickets.

3. Saturday, March 5, 2011. The Hartford Chapter of the Union of Black Episcopalians will hold its annual scholarship luncheon at the Chowder Pot Restaurant. The Chowder Pot is located on Brainard Road, Hartford. The luncheon will start at noon and the proceeds will go toward assisting our young people with their college education. The speaker will be Ms. Christine Pena of Wesleyan
University. Adult tickets are $45 for adults and $12.95 for children. For more information and tickets please see any of our chapter members.
