NEWS AND EVENTS

From The Desk Of The Rector
Elijah found it necessary to prophesy against Ahab, the king of Israel, because he forsook God and worshiped Baal, the god of his wife Jezebel. Ahab sought to kill Elijah but he failed because God was on Elijah's side. Elijah was echoing what the people knew: "you shall have no other God before me" Exodus 20:3.

Our loyalty to God is questioned every day of our lives, by friends, by society, and by our own selfishness. Often we complain to God. Our experience of God is sometimes forgotten and we forget to count our many blessings. Our obedience to God is extremely important in order for God to work in and through us. Loosing ourselves in God and trusting in His every word will bring forth the results God has in store for us.

Remember the words Proverbs 16;9: "A man's mind plans his ways, but the Lord directs his   steps." We pray for a mind that knows and trusts God and for a heart to love and trust Him to deliver us.
