From The Desk Of The Rector
During the month of August we hope to have a week of activities, sports and teaching for our children/youth in our church and neighborhood. Our them is Respect. We will use the summary of the law Love God and love your neighbor as yourself. We hope to begin at 9:30 a.m. and end at 1:00 p.m. We need your help. Please volunteer by Sunday, July 15, 2012.

Emily Swope was the guest musician on Sunday, July 15, 2012. Nathaniel Baker was in Spain.

The Rev. Wilmot Dennis
The REv. Wilmot Dennis was the guest preacher on Sunday, July 29, 2012. He was born in Maryland county, Liberia, West Africa. Rev. Dennis was ordained in May, 2008. He is trhe assistant pastor at Tower of Hope Christian Ministry in Bristol, Connecticut.

The Rev. Alba Perez
The Rev. Alba Perez was the guest preacher on Sunday, July 22, 2012. She entered the University of Puerto Rico at the age of 16 and graduated with a B.S. degree. Rev. Perez has a Masters of Divinity degree from the Seminario Evangelico de Puerto Rico and a second divinity degree from the Lutheran School of Theology, Chicago. She was ordained a pastor in the Evangelical Lutheran Church in 1993. Rev. Perez has been a Chaplain at the Connecticut Children's Medical Center; she has pastored in the Frog Hollow section of Hartford; she worked with the Hispanic Health Council and the Hartford Board of Education. Recently Bishop Ian Curry asked her to serve as interim pastor at St. Luke's Episcopal Church Bridgeport.

The Rev. Ann Marie T. Martin
The Rev. Ann Marie T. Martin was the guest preacher on Sunday, July 1, 2012. She has served at Word of Faith Full Gospel Ministry in Hartford since 2004. Rev. Martin served as Youth Pastor as well as in the Intercessory Prayer and the Pastoral Care Ministries. She also leads the Street Ministry "Beyond the Wall" as well as assists the Pastor in general affairs. Rev. Martin's main concern is winning souls for the kingdom of God and to buildup the inner man. Rev. Martin co-hosts CHATS (Christians Having A Talk) which is a television program in Hartford.

Annual Picnic
Our annual picnic is planned for Sunday, July 15, 2012. We will have one service at 11:00 a.m. The picnic will begin at 1:30 p.m. We ask for the usual donations. Please see Joe Noel for more information.

Sharing Articles
Have you recently read an articles that you would like to share? If so, please send it to the Rector via email no later than Wednesday afternoon.

Food Pantry
Please continue to donate to the Ruth Small Food Pantry. Suggested items are canned or instant potatoes, canned meats (tuna, salmon, chicken(, canned sweet potatoes, soup, peanut butter,jelly and individual fruit cups. Thank you for your continued support.

Rescheduling Meetings
Fr. Davidson needs our cooperation if we wish to reschedule a meeting on Monday or Wednesday between 5:00 p.m. and 8:00 p.m. Fr. Davidson schedules interviews and pastoral counseling either before or after Prayer Meetings on Monday. He may also schedule interviews and pastoral counseling on Wednesday. He schedules events when there is no Bible Study. As a courtesy, please call Fr. Davidson to verify if he has anything schedule.

Special Days (Weekly): 1) Wednesdays and Fridays-Food Pantry opens 10:00 a.m. to noon.
2) Every other thursday-Pro's and Con's task Force at 6:30 p.m.

Special Says (Monthly): First Thursday-Stewardship committee at 6:30 p.m. 2) Second Thursday-Vestry Meeting 6:30 p.m. 3) Third Tuesday- Women of Valier 4) Third and fourth Saturday opens at 12:00 noon to 1:00 p.m. 5) First Saturday-Episcopal Church women (ECW) at 12:00 noon.
